SEOs Have Started Noticing Two New Types of Results on Search
Over the years, featured snippets have become a huge part of search results. And while featured snippets are a highly sought-after spot, unfortunately there is no direct way to obtain them. So when SEOs discover that there are new opportunities to gain a featured snippet spot, they jump at the chance to learn everything they can.
Other Sites Say
Last week, our team noticed an interesting result on SERPs (search engine results pages):
I’ve never seen this “other sites say” before. kinda cool. pic.twitter.com/pEwTTjs3bZ

Before last week, the “Other sites say” snippet had not been spotted yet. And after it was discovered, various other examples rolled in, as shared by Barry Schwartz of Search Engine Roundtable. As this change rolls out, you may see similar results under “From the web” as well.
What People Are Saying
While the “Other sites say” featured snippet returns results pulled directly from articles and more verified resources, there is another result that utilizes community-based, user-generated content sites: “What people are saying.”

How to See If You Are Part of a Featured Snippet
Sadly, there is currently no instance where Google will notify you if your site is included in a featured snippet, but thankfully, tools such as Ahrefs and SE Ranking both include the ability to show which of your keywords trigger a featured snippet result you are appearing in.
